Terms of use

MindSpan offers online cognitive and personality assessments for educational insight. It is operated by Startupolis. The assessments are not clinical or diagnostic tools. Our disclaimer explains what the results can and cannot tell you.

• You must be 16 or older to create an account.
• You must give a real email address and keep your sign-in details private.
• One account per person. Do not share or sell your account.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Neurons are the credits you use to start a test.

• How you get them. New accounts receive a welcome grant. You also earn Neurons when you finish a test, and you can buy packs.
• What they are. Neurons are a license to use the service. They have no cash value. You cannot exchange them for money, transfer them to another account or sell them.
• Leaving a test early. If you leave a test before you answer 20% of its questions, we return the Neurons you spent. After that point, we do not return them. Your Neuron history shows every charge and refund.
• Retakes. Some tests have a waiting period before you can take them again. The test card shows the date.
• Changes. We may change test prices, rewards and pack contents. A change does not affect Neurons already in your balance.
• Closing your account. Unused Neurons are lost when you delete your account or when we close it under section 6.

• Prices are in US dollars and include the Neurons shown on the pack. Your bank may add currency fees.
• Stripe processes all payments. Its terms also apply to your payment.
• Neurons are added to your balance as soon as the payment succeeds.
• Refunds. You can get a full refund for a pack within 14 days of purchase if you have not spent any of its Neurons. To ask, write to the address at the bottom of this page. We refund to your original payment method.
• If a fault on our side stops you from using Neurons you spent, we return those Neurons, whenever it happens.
• Nothing in these terms limits a refund right that the law where you live gives you.

To keep results meaningful for everyone, you agree not to:

• get help from another person, or use tools or AI, while you take a test;
• copy, record, publish or share test questions or answers;
• use bots, scripts or scrapers on the site;
• try to get around timers, retake limits, payments or security;
• use the service to break the law or to harm anyone.

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where possible, we tell you why first and give you a chance to respond. If we close the service, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice, and we refund the Neurons you bought and have not spent, at the price you paid. We do not refund free or earned Neurons.

The tests, questions, reports, designs and text on MindSpan belong to us or to people who license them to us. You may keep and share your own results for personal use. You may not copy or reuse our content for any other purpose without our written permission.

Test names such as “WAIS Style”, “Stanford–Binet Style” and “Raven’s Style” describe the type of test. MindSpan is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the owners of those names.

We work to keep MindSpan accurate and available, but we provide it “as is”. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that a result fits any particular purpose. Do not use a MindSpan result to make medical, legal, educational-placement or hiring decisions.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of MindSpan. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as liability for fraud.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, handle any dispute. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

If we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we tell you by email at least 14 days before it applies. If you keep using MindSpan after that date, you accept the new terms.
